Philibert Tziranana, President of the new African Republic of Malagasy (formerly Madagascar), arrived here today for a six-day state visit, and was received with great pomp and ceremony by all leaders of the Israel Government. President Izhak Ben-Zvi and Premier David Ben-Gurion were among the welcoming party when the plane bearing the Malagasy leader touched down at Lydda airport.
