The trial of Lt. Col. Israel Beer, Israeli military analyst accused of espionage on behalf of a Communist power, presumably Russia, was resumed in District Court here today after the conclusion of a court recess.
As soon as the court reconvened, the Government prosecutor requested that the hearing be closed to the public, and the court granted the request. Until now, nearly 20 security officers and police personnel have testified on behalf of the prosecution in the closed sessions of the court. The trial is expected to end by October 15.
