DAIA, the central representative body of Argentine Jewry, held a special plenary meeting of its consultative councils tonight to consider the recent increase of anti-Semitic actions in this country.

According to Dr. Isaac Goldenberg, president of DAIA, four anti-Jewish actions have taken place recently. Synagogues and Jewish commercial houses were attacked, Dr. Goldenberg said, but no arrests have been made, nor have the perpetrators of the attack been identified. Dr. Goldenberg reported that he took up the situation with Dr. Alfredo Vitolo, Minister of the Interior, as well as with the chief of police here, and was given a promise of official action by Dr. Vitolo.

The DAIA leader said that the attacks seemed to be not spontaneous. DAIA has decided to devote special attention to the problem on a permanent basis. The attacks have caused general concern among the Argentine Jewish population.
