A luxury hotel estimated to cost 675,000 pounds sterling ($1,890,000) will be built here next year by an Israeli construction firm, Mlonot, Ltd., according to an agreement signed here today between Tanganyika’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry and officials of Mlonot. Construction is expected to start next February and the hotel is scheduled to be in full operation by September 1963.
