Finance Minister Levi Eshkol and David Horowitz, Governor of the Bank of Israel, will leave for Washington next week for talks with officials of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank on various aspects of Israel’s finances.
Mr. Horowitz will meet with IMF director Per Jacobson to discuss Israel’s foreign exchange rate policy which was sharply criticized in a report of the Fund. The meeting with World Bank officials will deal with Israel’s application for a loan to help finance a $60,000,000 road building program.
