The Association of Orthodox Jewish Scientists announced the election today of Dr. Herbert Goldstein, professor of nuclear engineering at Columbia University, as acting president. Dr. Goldstein replaces Dr. Elmer L. Offenbacher, associate professor of physics of Temple University, who will leave for Israel shortly to start a six-month research program at the Hebrew University.
