The retirement of Alexander Kahn, well-known Jewish leader, from the post of general manager of the Jewish Daily Forward because of health, and the appointment of Adolph Held to this post, was announced here today by the Forward. Mr. Kahn has been general manager of the newspaper for the last 24 years. Earlier he was the lawyer of the newspaper. He is a vice-president of the Joint Distribution Committee, and one of the active leaders of the United Hias Service, National Committee for Labor Israel, and other organizations.
