The Vienna Jewish community protested strongly today to the director of the Vienna Art Museum for inclusion of ritual murder representations.
The exhibit covers the cultural and religious historical development of the Austrian Tyrol. Jewish visitors discovered to their shocked amazement that representations from the Catholic Church in Rin, a Tyrolean township, depicted the holy “Anderl,” whom the Jews were accused of murdering for “ritual purposes” in 1475.
