Israel Government Decides to Purchase $200, 000 Worth of U.N. Bonds

The Israel Government today notified the United Nations that it intends to purchase $200,000 worth of the United Nations bond issue. The notification, came in the form of information given to Acting Secretary-General U Thant by Michael S. Comay, Israel’s permanent representative here. Mr. Thant expressed his appreciation to the Government of Israel “for this gesture of support for the U.N.”
