Three former Nazi police officials were sentenced to prison here today for their part in the murder of 172 Polish Jews during the Second World War.
The three, who were convicted as accomplices in the crime, were Kurt Kirschner, 62, of Duesseldorf, who was sentenced to three years and nine months; Hans Hoffmann, 57, of Giessen, sentenced to three years and six months; and Theodor Pillich, 60, of Helmstadt, sentenced to three years and three months.
