President John F. Kennedy conferred today for more than a half-hour with a delegation of American Jewish Committee leaders on a number of important current issues. Chief among the problems was the concerted Arab League discrimination against American citizens and the general invasion of American rights by Arab League countries.

The delegation, headed by Governor Herbert H. Lehman, honorary vice-president of the American Jewish Committee, included: Jacob Blaustein, honorary president; Irving M. Engel, honorary president; Louis Caplan, president; and John Slawson, executive vice-president.

Mr. Lehman, who served as spokesman for the group, said that the Jewish leaders had not asked for or received any promises of action on proposals made. He described the President as “understanding.” He declined to elaborate in any way on the conversations.
