New York to Prosecute Stores Selling ‘kosher Style’ Food for Kosher

The New York City Department of Markets today began an intensive campaign of enforcement of the kosher food laws which forbid the use of the term “kosher style” on foods that are not kosher. Commissioner of Markets Albert S. Pacetta said today that department inspectors would issue summonses to violators of the kosher food regulations.
