Rabbi Leo Jung, spiritual leader of the Jewish Center, prominent author and one of the leading Orthodox rabbis in the country, was honored at a testimonial dinner here last night marking his 70th birthday and 40th year in the rabbinate.
A professor pf ethics at Yeshiva University, Dr. Jung has been president of the Jewish Academy of Arts and Sciences since 1950. He was the first president of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. He has written or edited more than 20 volumes on Jewish ethics, law and lore.
