The National Association of Jewish Center Workers concluded its deliberations here today with a resolution reaffirming “the vital and unique role of the Jewish community centers and YM and YWHA’s in strengthening American Jewish life. “
“The Association regrets and deplores the irresponsibility of the intended destructive attack upon the Jewish community center movement, in a recent issue of ‘Conservative Judaism,’ the publication of the Rabbinical Assembly of America, ” the resolution said. Noting the contributions of the Jewish centers to enrichment of Jewish life, the resolutions stated that the Association “will continue to work closely with every organization, institution and professional body which is dedicated to Jewish survival and the welfare of the Jewish community. Manuel Batshaw of Newark, N. J. , was installed as president of the Association.
