Philip Soskis, executive director of the New York Association for New Americans, was elected president last night of the National Conference of Jewish Communal Service at the organization’s 64th annual meeting which closed here today. Mr. Soskis succeeds Donald Hurwitz of Philadelphia.
Other officers elected by the conference were Jacob T. Zukerman of New York, first vice president; Bertram H. Gold of Los Angeles, second vice president; Maurice Bernstein of New York and William Avrunin of Detroit, secretary. The conference decided to meet in Cleveland next year.
