Continuing his 10-day official visit to Israel, begun Sunday, President Felix Houphouet-Boigny, of the Ivory Coast, today presented his Government’s high decoration, the Grand Cross of the Ivory Coast National Order, to Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion and Foreign Minister Golda Meir.

The African republic’s President was deeply moved last night when Rabbi Sopher, head of a Yeshiva located across the street from his Government’s Embassy, visited to pronounce the traditional Hebrew blessing for a guest. The Ivory Coast is one of the few governments that has, thus far, given Jerusalem full recognition as Israel’s capital. Most of the embassies are located in Tel Aviv.
