The formation of an anti-Semitic student organization, calling itself The Fascist Society, was announced on posters put up at the University of Natal. The group is reported to be recruiting members at Capetown University.

A day after the announcements had been posted, an anti-Semitic letter was received by D. Levy, chairman of the local Jewish student chapter at the University of Natal, stating: “Jews, get out, go back to Palestine, or you will be wearing the yellow arm-bands in a Kaffir Ghetto.”
