The Ministry of Works denied today a report it had given Sir Oswald Mosley’s fascist movement permission to hold another meeting in Trafalgar Square on September 23. A meeting last Sunday turned into a riot when a hostile audience broke through police lines in efforts to assault speakers. A Ministry spokesman said today that if a new application from the Mosley movement was received, “The Ministry will consult with the police commissioner before deciding to approve it.”
