The chairman of the Israeli Olympic Games Committee, Shalom Zysman, left here for Zurich today in a last minute attempt to contact the Asian Games Committee, now preparing for the Asian Games in Djakarta, Indonesia, in order to learn the situation regarding Israel’s participation in the games. The games open Friday but the Israelis, though invited, have not so far received entry visas for Indonesia nor have they had replies to their urgent cables asking where their visas would be issued.

In Zurich, Zysman will also contact the various sports federations to apprise them of the Indonesian action. If no word is received by Israel within 24 hours, a decision will be taken over the next step which will probably be cancellation of the Israeli participation by 37 sportsmen. The Israeli Olympic Committee is also stated to be considering the possibility of suing the Asian Olympics Committee for expenses incurred by Israel in preparing for the games, should the Israelis be prevented from participating.
