The Board of Deputies of British Jews opened a campaign today for 1,000,000 signatures to a petition to Parliament to outlaw racial incitement. The Jewish Ex-serviceman’s Association and the Yellow Star anti-fascist movement are cooperating in the campaign.

The Board said that it hoped to achieve the goal by the start of November and said that “it is deemed essential that as many signatures as possible be obtained so that the Government is left in no doubt as to the volume of public opinion in this matter.”
