Brooklyn police announced today the arrest of a 12-year-old Negro boy who, they said, admitted starting a fire in the Belzer Yeshiva which caused $80,000 damage.

The boy was paroled in the custody of his mother, and will be arraigned as a juvenile delinquent in Brooklyn Family Court on charges of arson and burglary. His name was withheld because of his age. He lives four blocks from the Yeshiva Machzikel of Bolz, which was fired on Yom Kippur night.
