A British National Socialist official said today that a council had been formed to direct the activities of the movement in place of the four leaders who were sentenced here to prison yesterday.
Martin Webster, office manager of the movement, said that the neo-Nazi group would continue to hold meetings. Further details of the agreement made during the visit to Britain of Geroge Lincoln Rockwell, head of the American Nazi party, also were disclosed. The agreement provided that Rockwell was to take over leadership, presumably from his headquarters in Arlington, Va., of the so-called “World Union of National Socialists, ” in the event British National Socialist leader Colin Jordan goes to prison.
Jordan was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment after he and three of his lieutenants were found guilty on two counts of a four-point indictment, charging them with violation of the Public Order Act. The four neo-Nazis said they would appeal the jury verdict. They have two weeks to do so. The three associates received lesser terms, ranging from three months to six months.
The main objectives of the “World Union” were listed as formation of a “monolithic, combat-efficient international political apparatus to utterly destroy the International Jewish-Communist-Zionist apparatus of treason and subversion” and to promote “the Aryan race and its Western civilization. ” Another stated objective was “to find and accomplish on a worldwide scale a just and final settlement of the Jewish problem.”
An eventual “world order based on race” was listed as still another ultimate goal. Membership is restricted to individuals and groups who “acknowledge the spiritual leadership of Adolf Hitler.”
