A proposal to expand production at the Timna copper mines with a 30,000,000-pound ($10,000,000) investment was presented today to the Technological Advisory Board meeting in Haifa.
Plans call for increasing production to 15,000 tons annually. During the past year, the mines produced more than 6,000 tons of metallic copper, an increase of seven percent over the previous year’s output.
