University of California Starts Course in Translated Yiddish Literature

The University of California in Los Angeles will offer, starting tomorrow, a university extension course in Yiddish literature in English translation.

The course, which will be given for 12 successive Wednesdays, will be taught by Eli Katz, assistant professor of foreign languages at Los Angeles State College. He has Joined the UCLA evening faculty to give the Yiddish literature course. Students will receive university credit.
