Persons to be departed from Israel will, in the future, be given three days’ notice and will be permitted to consult a lawyer of their choice, according to regulations gazetted here today.

The new regulations, which were issued by Interior Minister Moshe Shapiro, follow recent criticism over the manner in which the late Dr. Robert Soblen, convicted of espionage in the United States, was hurriedly deported last summer.
