Montreal Elects Pascal As Chairman of Joint Jewish Drive for 1963

Cecil Pascal was elected to serve as general chairman for the 1963 Joint Campaign for Combined Jewish Appeal, United Israel Appeal and the Rescue and Survival Fund. He succeeds Jacob M. Lowy. The Joint Campaign is the annual major welfare campaign conducted by the Jewish community for local, national and overseas causes. The official dates of this year’s campaign have been set for November 4 to 18.

The new campaign chairman has been active in community affairs for many years. In accepting the appointment, Mr. Pascal pledged to lead his campaign team in doing “our utmost to raise a sum of money sufficient to meet the minimum budgetary requirements of all the local and beneficiary agencies of the Combined Jewish Appeal as well as to provide a greatly increased amount for critical overseas needs.”
