Colin Jordan, leader of the British Nazi movement, who is scheduled for release from prison tomorrow, after serving a nine-month sentence for breach of the Public Order Act, has been ordered to serve an additional month for “insulting behavior” during a Trafalgar Square rally last July 4.
The new sentence was imposed today by a magistrate, reducing the sentence for the same offense, imposed last September. At that time, the “insulting behavior” sentence was set at two months’ imprisonment, but a higher court had ordered reconsideration. The magistrate ruled that the new sentence be counted as having begun last Friday, thus making Jordan eligible for release on June 3.
