$2, 232,942 Raised for Chicago Jewish Appeal in Seven Country Clubs

A record breaking total of $2, 232, 942 was raised at the annual “Country Club Day for CJA” — one of this community’s programs to support the Combined Jewish Appeal of Metropolitan Chicago. Almost 1,000 golfers from seven clubs took part in the event, which is the largest inter-club tourney in the United States.

The Bryn Mawr Country Club reported the highest receipts — $695,950. Other totals were: Briarwood Country Club — $355,387; Green Acres Country Club — $325,000; Idlewild Country Club — $268,605; Twin Orchard Country Club — $244,000; Ravisloe Country Club — $227,000 and Brookwood Country Club — $117,000.
