Soviet Jew Arrested on Charges of Being ‘an Underground Millionaire’

A Russian Jew, named Jacob Gleizer, has been arrested on charges of being “an underground millionaire,” according to a Moscow dispatch received here today. Arrested with Gleizer was another man, identified as Vassily I. Nosev.

Both men, according to the Moscow report, are being accused of having secreted large sums of gold and gold coins allegedly procured through currency speculation.”
