El Yam, the Israeli Freight Shipping Company, announced today it had placed orders for two 40, 000-ton ships for bulk transportation. The ships will be delivered within two years. The company now operates Israel’s two biggest vessels, the 30, 000 ton “Tel Aviv” and the “Arad.”
