Israel and Brazil Sign Cultural Pact; Ratified by Brazilian Senate

A cultural agreement between Israel and Brazil was formally signed today after the Brazilian Senate ratified the treaty last week. Brazilian Foreign Minister Araujo Castro signed for this country while Ambassador Arich Eshel signed on behalf of Israel. Following the signing ceremony, the Foreign Minister was host at a luncheon in honor of Ambassador Eshel who is leaving this country next week.
