Rabbi William Berkowitz, spiritual leader of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, of New York, will deliver the opening prayer before the U.S. Senate tomorrow. He will devote his prayer to the observance of the 16th anniversary of the State of Israel.

At the Israeli Embassy here, where a special reception will be held tomorrow in honor of Israel’s birthday, a selection of paintings by gifted Israeli children was opened today as part of the observance in the capital. More than 1, 000 Washington school children are expected to view the exhibit. Many of the local school pupils have organized special choirs to sing Israeli songs. Hosts at the festivities at the Embassy will be Ambassador Avraham Harman and his wife, Mrs. Zena Harman.
