Funeral services were held today for Aaron Nissenson, Yiddish poet, journalist, novelist and essayist who died here this weekend at the age of 66. Born in Russia, he came to the Unites States in 1911 and received a degree in pharmacy from Fordham University in 1923. However, he never practiced that profession, joining the staff of the Jewish Morning Journal in 1924.

He was the author of eight volumes of poetry, some of his verses having been translated into Hebrew, French and Russian. In recent years, he was on the staff of the Joint Distribution Committee. His first major work in English, “Song of Man,” a novel based on the life of Eugene V. Debs, was published this spring.
