A resolution condemning the Soviet Union for the persecution of its Jewish citizens was introduced in the House of Representatives by Rep. Abraham Multer, Democrat, of New York. Several resolutions on this subject have already been submitted in both Houses of the Congress but no action on them has yet been taken by the respective Foreign Relations and Foreign Affairs Committee.
Rep. Multer, introducing his resolution, urged speedy committee action and declared that “it was clear that the Soviet Government and the Communist party have fostered and encouraged acts of anti-Semitism in the Soviet Union.”
