Two new technical assistance agreements were signed here today between Brazil and Israel, providing for expanded Israeli aid to this country, especially in the underdeveloped northeastern section of Brazil.

Under one of the pacts, Israel will provide technical aid in the digging of wells and prospecting for other water resources in the arid regions of northeast Brazil. Under the other agreement, Israel will help the development of corn growth in the area. A number of Israelis have been engaged in various other technical assistance projects in this country for the last few years.
