Atomic Energy Commission Awards Two Grants to Yeshiva University

Yeshiva University has received two special grants from the Atomic Energy Commission to further the university’s undergraduate educational and training programs in the nuclear aspects of chemistry and physics, it was announced today by Dr. Samuel Belkin, president.

The two grants, totaling $24,000, will enable the university to build up its nuclear science education program in chemistry and allow the department of physics to increase its experimental and theoretical courses. Students will be afforded the opportunity to work with radioactive materials and nuclear instrumentation.
