The Polish Yiddish State Theater troupe currently touring Europe arrived here this afternoon and opened at the Scala Theater tonight with a production of Ettinger’s “Serkale,” the first Yiddish play ever put on the stage 100 years ago. The troupe was given an enthusiastic reception.

Mrs. Ida Kaminska, the leading actress of the company, told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that they had a very successful run in Paris where nearly 10, 000 persons attended the 15 performances.
