Israel Parliament Votes to Limit Term of President to Ten Years

Israel’s Parliament voted today to limit Presidents to two successive five-year terms. Previously there had been no limitations and the late Izhak Ben-Zvi had been elected to three terms. The only party voting in opposition was the Mapai.
