Rabbi I. E. Lichtigfeld, chairman of the Rabbis Conference, and Prof. Herbert Lewin, director of the Offenbach’s Women Clinic and chairman of the directorate of the Central Council of German Jews, were awarded here High Orders of Merit by President Heinrich Luebke. The awards were presented to the two Jewish leaders by Prof. Ernest Schuette, the Hesse Education Minister, in a special ceremony.
