Israeli Prime Minister Levi Eshkol, continuing his 12-day visit to France, spent the day today studying the workings, administration and research projects of French agriculture, showing keen understanding of many aspects of agricultural pursuit, and comparing methods here with those employed in similar work in Israel.
Accompanied by Edgar Pisani, French Minister of Agriculture, Mr.Eshkol visited an agricultural research and experimental station, inspected the French National School of Agriculture, and toured the Zootechnical Research Institute. In the latter place, he was shown an aspect of French agriculture that does not apply to Israel–the breeding and raising of prize pigs. an important element in the French meat industry.
Tonight, Mr. Eshkol returned to Paris, where he met with members of the Israel Embassy staff here, and with other Israelis at work in this city for other Israel Government agencies.
