Austria Seeks Data on Nazi Crimes by Austrians in Occupied Poland

The Austrian Department of Justice asked for and received assistance from the Polish Central Commission for the Investigation of Nazi Crimes in getting material on criminal activities of Austrian citizens in Nazi-occupied Poland, it was learned here today.

A representative of the Department visited Poland for that purpose and was given the opportunity to acquaint himself with relevant documents and papers about Austrian citizens who served the Nazis in Poland. In addition, the Polish Government gave the Austrian Government numerous documents on Nazi war crimes, including copies of the archives of the Maidanek death camp in occupied Poland.
