Leaders of the Mexican Jewish community, headed by Gregorio Shapiro, president of the Jewish Central Committee of Mexico, were among the guests attending a banquet given here last night by Archbishop Miguel Dario Miranda Y Gomez, in honor of Eugene Cardinal Tisserant, dean of the Sacred College at the Vatican, who is currently visiting Mexico.

In his address, the cardinal seemed to be careful not to mention the State of Israel by name, when he addressed the audience gathered in his honor.
