Funeral services were held today for Chaim Brand, former leader of the Achdut Avoda party in the United States, who died here this weekend. Mr. Brand was born in Poland and emigrated to the U.S. to escape the Nazis. He settled in Israel last year. President Zalman Shazar, who was associated with Mr. Brand in Zionist activities in Poland, today sent a message of condolences to Achdut Avoda.
