Withdrawal of mail privileges from two United States groups which have flooded Canadian cities with anti-Semitic and anti-Negro hate material was announced today in the House of Commons.

Postmaster General John Nicholson said the action had been taken against the National States Rights Party of Birmingham, Ala., and the National White American Party of Atlanta. Withdrawal bars handling of mail both ways.

Mr. Nicholson said that the Birmingham group had filed for a review of the ban, and that the hearing would provide the Government with a chance to inquire into the group’s activities. Many Jewish and non-Jewish organizations in Canada have repeatedly protested to Government officials over the mailings.
