The government-operated University of Rio de Janeiro announced today that a chair in “Hebrew Civilization” has been re-established at the institution, for the third successive year. The chair, to be conducted by Dr. Henrique Lenle, has been designated in accordance with the Israeli-Brazilian cultural agreement.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
