J.N.F. Memorial Meetings for Kennedy to Be Held in Numerous Cities

The Jewish National Fund is sponsoring a series of meetings in leading Jewish communities throughout the nation on Sunday, November 22, to mark the first National Memorial Day for John F. Kennedy, it was announced here today by Max Bressler, president of the Fund. In New York City, the Kennedy Memorial will be held on the 22nd in the Grand Ballroom of the Statler-Hilton Hotel.

“The JNF purpose in arranging these observances,” Mr. Bressler said, “is first, to commemorate our fallen President on the first anniversary of his martyrdom; second, to voice the feelings of the American Jewish community on the tragic loss of a great leader of the Free World; and third, to dedicate, in a symbolic manner, the John F. Kennedy Monument now being erected at the entrance to the John F. Kennedy Peace Forest by the people and the government of Israel in cooperation with the Jewish National Fund. Memorial tributes also will be held in Miami, Los Angeles, Can Francisco, Chicago, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and other cities.
