Montreal Schools to Release Jewish Pupils from Religious Assemblies

The Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal assured the Canadian Jewish Congress today that Jewish pupils would be excused from school assemblies of a religious nature being conducted by laymen in one of the Protestant schools here. The CJC had protested that such assemblies are felt by some parents to be of “an evangelic nature.”
