A contract for the purchase of 16,000 tons of steel plate was signed here today between the Government owned steel industry of Brazil and Coor, the heavy industry section of Histadrut, the Israel Federation of Labor Officials of the steel industry here said the pact involves the largest single purchase of steel by a foreign firm ever negotiated by Brazil.
