Joseph Zaretzki, New York State Senator of Manhattan, was elected Senate majority leader last night. Mr. Zaretzki, 62, for many years minority leader in the State Senate, was born in Poland and brought to New York as a child. Educated in New York, he has been in politics for 35 years. He also maintains a law office in New York. He is a member of the Jewish War Veterans, the Zionist Organization of America and B’nai B’rith.
