Official quarters today denied a report that the forthcoming meeting between Israel’s Premier Levi Eshkol and West German Chancellor Ludwig Erhard had been canceled. The meeting is expected to take place at the end of March, following Mr. Eshkol’s meeting with British Prime Minister Harold Wilson in London, on March 25. However, it was indicated that the date of the Eshkol-Erhard parley may be advanced or postponed, depending on possible developments in connection with the rift between West Germany and Egypt.

Recent developments in German-Egyptian relations, as well as the relations between the Bonn Government and Israel, were reviewed here yesterday at a Cabinet meeting by Foreign Minister Golda Meir. The Cabinet was reported to have discussed comprehensively certain aspects of Israel’s foreign policy. A Cabinet spokesman said that the discussion will be continued at the next Cabinet meeting, next Sunday.
